Teacher Training in Yoga’s Birth Place

Teacher Training in Yoga’s Birth Place

IMG_5021Training to be a teacher of Yoga is a wonderful and sometimes challenging undertaking. The amount of learning will amaze you. Everything from history, techniques, deep anatomy, and new perspectives on interacting with others opens up to you. We just had 10 trainees complete our yoga teacher training this weekend in Zion National Park. What an amazing time together we had celebrating and sharing ideas and thoughts about this yoga lifestyle.

Now that we have a few months break before our next group of trainees begin their LLYC training, I am off to complete a goal of mine in India. I have taught yoga since 2000 and have had many wonderful teachers. Even though I have done enough trainings to get my 500RYT I will be taking this adventure to India to receive this certificate.

Unknown-3Rishikesh is Yoga’s birthplace and a huge mecca of Ashrams (schools). Placed at the foothills of the Himalayan mountains, its cooler then much of India and the sacred waters of the Ganges runs through it. People come from all over the world to experience the yoga of India. So, Now that my preparations are almost done, the count down days is dwindling. 45 days till departure!!
