Julie Branham, RYT

Julie, Owner of Lifted Life Yoga, began her journey as a licensed cosmetologist of over 20 years. Julie has made countless clients beautiful. Yet a yearning for something that uncovered the beauty within naturally led her to Yoga. She found that yoga created a place where our essence could be explored, brought to the forefront, and integrated with our physical potential. Getting to know the “Real” you is often the topic of unspoken conversation in her classes. Julie is no stranger to health and wellness-Married to a prominent Chiropractor through whom more knowledge is obtained. Julie expertly integrates this information into her classes. She is 200 RYT certified with yoga alliance as well as 200 hour certified through D’ana Baptiste, interlaced with instruction from influential teachers such as John Friend, Donna Farhi, Gary Kraftsow and Adhil Palklihava. She has been teaching uplifting, life changing classes since 2001. Julie is a fitness enthusiast, loves the outdoors and is often seen hiking or biking the trails of Alpine. She enjoys mountain biking, running, skiing (water and snow), windsurfing and raising 4 amazing children.

Debbie Arnell, RYT

Debbie has a BS in Dance Specialization from Brigham Young University where she performed with the Folk Dancers as well as Dancer’s Company.  Debbie has taught Aerobics and Spinning classes at many clubs both in Utah and California. In 2000, diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue, Debbie underwent a major change.  Unable to continue her traditional way of moving, she found yoga and fell in love!  Debbie completed her 200-hour certification with Dana Baptiste in 2005 and  the additional 400-hour Baptiste Certification and recently completed her Anusara Inspired Certification. She has studied under Dana Baptiste, Ana Forrest, Rolf Gates, Desiree Rumbaugh, Sherry Baptiste, Nancy Ruby and Adam Ballanger. Debbie as a mother of 5 and fills her days with her yoga practice. She loves being out-of-doors playing, hiking, tandem biking with her husband, water skiing, swimming, boating and working in her garden.  Wherever there is sun and water together she is in heaven.

Rodney Larsen, RYT

Born and raised in Utah, Rodney has sculpted a lifelong passion for the outdoors. He graduated with a BS in Environmental Studies from Utah State and an MPA from U of U.  He has worked as a public servant for the U.S. Forest Service, Utah State Lands and Forestry, and now at Timpanogos Cave National Monument for the National Park Service.  He is a volunteer ski patrol at Brighton and he loves to hike, bike, and kayak.  Diagnosed with scoliosis in his teens, he is a firsthand witness to the health benefits of doing Yoga.  But more than opening the door to improved strength, flexibility, and breathing, he has experienced the higher states of consciousness, feeling of peace, joy, and bliss through Aura Yoga, Integral Yoga – Satchidananda Ashram, and Alpine Yoga teacher training’s.  Rodney would like to share the benefits of a yoga practice to as many people as he can by joining the cadre of instructors at Alpine yoga.

Valerie Seolas-RYT

A graduate of BYU with a BS in Health Promotions and is a Licensed massage Therapist. At an early age she found a passion for health, wellness, fitness, being active and outdoors. After years of running and weight lifting, she started to feel the effects of both on her body. Then when she discovered a ruptured vertebral disc that took a lengthy recovery, she decided that something had to change.Yoga was the answer! Yoga has been therapeutic for her body, mind, and spirit and she found a passion to practice and teach this healing art. She also loves how the principles can be applied to any aspect of our lives. Val has completed a 40hr level certification Program through Linda Black and is currently working on her Anusara Certification with Adam Ballenger. Valerie is happily married and a “mom” of five beautiful children who bring humor, joy and love to her life. She loves traveling with her amazing husband, practicing yoga, running, snowshoeing, hiking, golfing, and especially loves soaking up the sun on any tropical beach.

Sherisa Bly, RYT

Sherisa will be teaching the TWEEN Yoga series this year! Sherisa Bly began practicing yoga in 1999 and was delighted at its positive, balancing affect on her life. After graduating with a degree in Modern Dance, she taught dance at BYU and Snow College, integrating principles of yoga into her classes. In 2005, she became an elementary teacher, and, while sifting through piles of homework, again yearned for the peaceful, centering effects of yoga. During the summer of 2008, Sherisa completed her 200-hour training at Flow Yoga and began teaching it. She loves to be in the moment, and whether she’s dancing, baking French desserts, or yes, even grading papers, she tries to embrace it.

Linda Black, RYT

Linda is a graduate of BYU with a bachelors in computer science and has a career in the industry for 15 years. This background gives an analytical twist to her informative and educational teaching style. She also has 14 years experience teaching in the fitness industry both as a private trainer and group instructor and during the last 5 years has transitioned to yoga for the lasting combination of benefits that stretch both body and mind. Since September 2004 she has enjoyed owning and operating a studio in northern utah county called Alpine Yoga, along with the talented and dedicated instructors that practice there. She is certified trough D’ana Baptiste 200 hour certification program. Linda’s Yoga practice has been influenced by John Friend,  Bryan Kest, Ana Forrest, and various Anusara teachers in Utah. The calming effect of yoga comes in handy while both running the studio and while raising her four active children. She enjoys camping, boating, hiking, skiing and dance. And oh yeah she likes math.

Marc Weinreich- RYT

Marc is a Certified Baron Baptiste Power Vinyasa Yoga teacher, recently moving to Utah from Boston.  Marc teaches an innovative, dynamic and physically invigorating, heated style of practice and has been personally trained by two of Baron’s Master Teachers.  Baptiste Power Vinyasa Yoga is for everyone and every body since modifications are always on offer.  It sculpts and re-shapes bodies and minds; it is safely and intelligently sequenced. Baptiste Power Vinyasa Yoga warms-up and tones muscles, builds physical and internal balance, increases and cultivates core and back strength, inverts the physiological system, and grounds the central nervous system. Off-the-mat, Marc practices yoga as Co-Founder, Co-Owner and Vice-President of Greenfield Environmental Trust Group, Inc. and its affiliated companies.  GETG is a nationally recognized and award-winning company that at the request of the United States Department of Justice, the United States Environmental Protection Agency and various States across the country serves as a court appointed trustee to clean-up and breath new life into hazardous waste sites nationally.

Arwen Rogers-RYT

Ashely Lisonbee-RYT

Ashley grew up in Alpine, Utah. She put on her first ballet slippers at age 3 and grew up dancing. She danced through high school on  Dance company and Ballroom team. She went on to study various forms of dance at UVSC and BYU along side of her Fine Art scholarship. Dance movement was like breathing, it gave her joy, comfort and peace. After marrying in 2001, she experienced multiple debilitating health issues over a period of ten years. She studied Vinyasa and Kundalini Yoga methods to keep her love for movement alive, as it helped her rehabilitate. She has taught at Alpine Yoga(now Lifted Life), pHmiracle  Health Retreat Center in California and also for her different wards and stakes she has been a part of. Her greatest joy however, comes in being a wife and Mother to her 3 children. Feeling she would never dance again, it is a great blessing and privilege teach Yoga and dance to serve others to express her gratitude for her Savior and Father in Heaven.
