I have struggled with varying levels of depression and anxiety since I was a young girl. I started taking anti depressants in high school and ended up taking at least seven different kinds in the next five years or so trying to find one that actually made me feel better. None of then did. ……Then, I walked in to lifted life yoga, and my life has never been the same. Practicing yoga at lifted life taught me to breath, to relax, to focus, and to feel love for myself and my surroundings. The most surprising and wonderful thing about my journey has been that yoga is the only anti depressant I need nowadays. Thanks to Julie and all the other instructors at lifted life, I am a much calmer and happier person!
It’s easy to see how the current of life impacts us individually and less easy to see how we impact the lives of others. I just want you to know that I am really grateful for your efforts to do such a good job and say thanks for the positive impact you’ve have on my life. I’ve had some health problems and as recent as 9 months ago I couldn’t walk around my block without help. I can’t even tell you how much it has meant to me to attend yoga classes with such positive and supportive instructors. I always feel like I can move at my own pace and that all the instructors only want me to feel comfortable and be successful in my own yoga practice. After being ill I just feel so much gratitude to be able to participate. It has helped give me the gravity I so needed.
